Terms of sale and license (EULA)
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These terms apply to the purchase and use of a YoyliOS license. Purchasing is not active yet; these terms describe how sales will work once it opens.
1. Seller
YoyliOS is developed by YoyliOS, [email protected]. Orders will be processed by our payment provider and reseller, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record: it sells the license to you, charges the price and any applicable taxes, and issues your receipt. Its checkout terms also apply to the payment.
2. What you buy
- A one-time, non-subscription license key for YoyliOS, delivered digitally together with a download link for the installer. There are no recurring charges.
- The “One computer” license may be activated on one computer. The “Family license” may be activated on the number of computers in one household stated at checkout.
- Prices are shown in US dollars. The final price, including any VAT or sales tax for your country, is shown at checkout before you pay.
- System requirements: a 64-bit x86 PC (ARM is not supported), at least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB recommended) and a USB stick of 16 GB or more. Activating the license requires a one-time internet connection. Please check the requirements before buying.
- The license key is tied to the computer it is activated on (see the privacy policy). Apart from this, YoyliOS has no copy protection or region lock.
3. License (EULA)
YoyliOS’s own programs (the launcher, Robo, the Parents area and the activation software) are licensed, not sold. You may install and use them for personal, non-commercial use on the number of computers your license covers. You may not resell or share your license key, or remove the activation check. YoyliOS also contains free and open-source software, which is licensed to you under its own licenses (for example the GNU GPL), listed on the open-source page. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.
4. Important information about using YoyliOS
- Installing can erase data. Installing YoyliOS on a computer’s drive can erase what is on it. Back up your files first.
- Supervision. Screen-time limits, the web filter, the weekly report and alerts help parents but cannot catch everything. They are not a substitute for adult supervision.
- Robo (AI). Robo’s answers are produced by an AI model and can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Do not rely on Robo for medical, safety or other important advice.
- Calm mode is a supportive everyday tool. It is not a medical device, therapy or treatment, and it does not replace professional care.
- Third-party online services (such as YouTube Kids and websites opened in the browser) are provided by others under their own terms. We do not control their content.
5. Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer, you keep all rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be excluded by contract. In the EU and UK this includes the legal guarantee that digital content conforms to the contract (EU Directive 2019/770 and the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015) and the right of withdrawal described in our refund policy.
6. Warranty and liability
Except as required by law, YoyliOS is provided “as is”, and we do not guarantee that it will work on every computer or be free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the price you paid. These limits do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, or to any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and they do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
7. Law and disputes
If a dispute arises, please first contact us in good faith at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the seller’s place of business, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Lemon Squeezy’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
